Attempting to ride 400km but had to stop after 258 – the rain was just absolutely torrential. WIfe came to the rescue. Picked me up from an Esso petrol station – freezing and shivering.

Quite pleased with it – 7 months since my last 300 attempt. Very good speed (18.2). Interestingly, the long sections of flat terrain were just boring – it sounds a good idea for speed purposes but it’s just not very interesting to ride.

A snappy ride to Cambridge and a bit beyond. Good time on my fixie 21.5Km/h average – fastest ever!

Going back to the much easier (or so it seemed after the last dreadful ride) fixed bike, I did the Cambridge ride very swifly – and quite easily too. I didn’t have to walk at ALL – I managed to climb every hill on the way.
